SAA Orientation is held on the morning of 4th, September at the lecture hall of International Department for all 9th, 10th and 11th graders. All foreign teachers and Chinese teachers attend the orientation ceremony.
Aaron, the academic leader of SAA hosted the ceremony. 6 teachers, Aaron、Grace、Josh、Sonseara、Joson、Midori introduced themselves and told about the subjects they teach this semester. They encourage all students work hard in the new semester. Students are very happy to meet all teachers at the first school open day. Aaron then asked a question, why are we in the SAA. He explained about SAA in detail. He said all teachers in our team will help students with their study and growth, cultivating their ability. What’s more, different grade students realize they should focus on different things in the coming new academic year. 9th Graders should focus on forming good learning habits and improve English skills. 10th Graders should focus on more academic challenge, studying TOEFL and begin to think the major in university. 11th Graders should focus on GPA and SAT and being clear about the admission requirement of different universities.
All students sang, “I won’t play until my work is done.” with Aaron together and he encouraged students to get well prepared for the coming semester. The ceremony sets a goal for all students. Hope everything goes well in SAA this year.
