On the first day of the semester, Australian Program of the International Department held Orientation for all VCE students at the exam room to help them adjust from their leisure holiday life to the fast-paced new semester as soon as possible.
The Orientation mainly centers on the course content, the assessment and the examination rules of VCE courses. David Zhai, Director of the Australian Program, first gives a detailed description of the basic operation of the program, the course enrollment, timetable for formative assessments, examination rules and the ranking system.
After David Zhai’s speech, the foreign teacher David Jabornik delivers a speech to welcome the new students and inspire all students.
Finally, Emily Cheng, the representative of Chinese teachers, specifies norms of daily behavior on the basis of her teaching and class management experience and sends sincere wish and hope to all students.
Orientation is the first lesson for all students. It is also an important part of helping new students get familiar with their new school, adjust to the learning and life of the new grade, and establish a new goal for the new semester. It is believed that after the Orientation, our students will be fully motivated and be ready for new challenges. We wish all the students from the Australian Program will make great achievements and realize their dreams in this semester!
